Welcome to Scrivener's Books, perhaps the largest second-hand bookshop in Derbyshire and one of the Guardian's "10 best" in the country. We have over forty-thousand volumes spread across five floors, from pulp to antiquarian, with hundreds of children's books and collectables. We also offer:
- Bookbinding and restoration work, done in-house
- Self-service tea and coffee facilities
- A small Victorian museum in the cellar

We are happy to give free advice and valuations on books. Small collections can be brought to the shop for Alastair to look at. It is advisable to phone ahead and book a time.
Please contact us if you have any books you think might interest us (particularly pre-20th Century). We also buy maps, sheet music and ephemera, particularly local documents, prints and photographs.
