We offer one to one bookbinding tuition in-house by Holly
Serjeant; courses run from two hours to several days, depending on
demand.
- Learn the basic principals of the craft by making a single or
multi-section binding. Some students like to bring their own volumes
for basic restoration techniques. Lessons can be adapted to suit
individuals.

Book a course in bookbinding! These are run by
Holly Serjeant and Alastair, lasting a full day. Students are taught
how to make a leather or cloth bound book, all materials and tools are
supplied. Please ring or call in for details.
- We tend to offer the day courses to NADFAS groups, U3A's etc, and
they can take place in your regular meeting venues.

- Lectures:

Lectures to groups, U3A's etc, by Alastair on the history
and background of books and bookbinding, the importance of books in
Medieval times and the development of printing, as well as material
from the Victorian era of the Golden Age.
- The lectures can be a straight power point session, or part
practical demonstration. It is also a good opportunity for people to
bring in their books for advice, etc.
